As part of the development of international and inter-university cooperation, a solemn signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement took place between Vitebsk State Medical University and Maikop State Technological University.

The signing ceremony was attended by the University Rector, Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work, Denis Lits, as well as the Head of the International and Interregional Affairs Office, Elena Sharykhina.

On July 11, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University welcomed a distinguished guest – the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Ashok Kumar. The meeting took place within the framework of strengthening the strategic partnership between Belarus and India in the field of medical education and science.

On July 10, 2025, Natalia Petkevich, Chairperson of the State Commission for the Supervision of the Admission Campaign and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, conducted a working visit to Vitebsk State Medical University, during which the effectiveness of targeted training for the Belarusian healthcare system was assessed.

The Chairperson of the State Commission familiarized herself with the university's operations, its achievements in scientific and educational activities, as well as the progress of the admission campaign. 

Students from the therapeutic, pediatric, and dental faculties of partner Russian universities – N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Privolzhsky Research Medical University, Kirov State Medical University, I.P. Pavlov Ryazan State Medical University, and Volgograd State Medical University – are currently participating in practical training at VSMU as part of the academic mobility program.
