On September 17, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, met with young specialists and interns from the Brest region working in healthcare institutions and the "Brest Pharmacy" system.

A significant part of the meeting took place on that day – National Unity Day – at the Brest Fortress, a symbol of heroism and unity of spirit.

On September 17, 2025, a deeply symbolic meeting was held at the Vitebsk State Medical University – a dialogue platform with Gleb Lapitsky, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and General Director of the Vitebsk Cultural Center.

This day, filled with special meaning, set the tone for a sincere and meaningful conversation about what matters most: the connection between eras, the continuity of generations, and the unshakable values that unite the Belarusian people.

On September 17, Vitebsk State Medical University held a solemn event dedicated to the Day of National Unity. On this festive day, students and staff of the university gathered near the VSMU flagpole, along with honored guests: Gleb Lapitsky, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and General Director of the state institution "Vitebsk Culture Center," and Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Health Workers’ Trade Union.

On September 16, 2025, a delegation from Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, visited the Brest Region as part of ongoing work with young specialists and interns. The purpose of the visit was to meet with university graduates who recently started working in the healthcare institutions of the region.

During an open and focused discussion, representatives of the university administration talked with the young doctors about their first steps in the profession, conditions of adaptation in new workplaces, specificities of their work, and everyday issues.
