On October 4, members of the military-patriotic club of VSMU “Serving the Fatherland” took part in the reburial ceremony in the mass grave in the village Nadezhino Liozny district of the remains of medical service lieutenant Fedor Mikhailovich Telichko.

On October 3-4, a chess and checkers tournament was held among teams from dormitories of institutions of higher and secondary specialized educations in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk. The VSMU team took the first team place. In the individual chess championship, Ilya Zakharenko, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine at VSMU has won, and Maria Luchkina, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Medicine, took the 2nd place in the individual championship in checkers.

On October 3, a meeting of the anti-corruption commission was held under the chairmanship of VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov. The report “On compliance with anti-corruption legislation in the organization and implementation of the activities of the Primary trade union organization of employees of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University” and the Primary trade union organization of students of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University” was made by Alexey Pogotsky, chairman of the trade union committee of VSMU employees and Alexander Myasoedov, chairman of the trade union committee of VSMU students.

VSMU greeted its veterans with warm words, good wishes and amateur performances.

On October 3, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University congratulated our respected and beloved veterans on the International Day of Older Persons.
