On May 21, 2025, the meeting of the University Council was held, at which 19 employees of the University were awarded the Badge “Veteran of Labor of VSMU”.

The final stage of competition on replacement of posts of pedagogical workers from among faculty members was held: the heads of departments of medical biology and general genetics; pathological anatomy and forensic medicine with the course of FAT and PR; foreign languages were elected. The issues of activity of the University catering association and satisfaction with the quality of catering organization were considered, the new edition of the University Mission was approved, the candidates of employees for awarding the honorary title “Veteran of Labor of VSMU”

Group of scientists of the VSMU School of Infectious Diseases under the direction of the Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Semenov V.M. took part in the XI Congress of Euro-Asian Society on Infectious Diseases, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, which was held on May 18-20, 2025 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Within the framework of implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between Vitebsk State Medical University and Volgograd State Medical University:

On May 20, 2025, an online lecture on pediatrics for the students of Volgograd State Medical University was held. Ludmila Zhuravleva Zhuravleva, the Head of the Department of Pediatrics № 2 with a course of FAT and PR of Volgograd State Medical University, gave a lecture “Jaundice in newborn children” to the students of the 4th year of Volgograd State Medical University.

On May 21, 2025, at the stadium of Vitebsk State Medical University a military-patriotic sports-medical event “Zarnitsa-2025” was held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
