On December 18, 2024, a meeting was held between the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel N.B. Dorofeev, the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work D.K. Kuzhel, the Dean of the medical faculty M.P. Fomina, the Deputy Deans Ya.O. Perevalov and O.A. Fedchuk, the Chairman of the primary trade union organization of students of VSMU N.S. Paramonov with the 1st-year students of the medical faculty on the prevention of extremism and terrorism.

On December 18, 2024, an excursion to the Dubrovensky district took place, during which the university students visited the permanent exhibition of the Dubrovensky district history and local history museum, located in 6 halls, where they got acquainted with the history of the Dubrovensky region, its rich and cultural heritage.

On December 18, 2024, the regional stage of the republican project "Student of the Year" was held.

7 participants from 6 universities of the region competed for the title of the best student of the Vitebsk region and the right to represent the region in the final of the republican competition.

The participants competed in three competition tests: "Business Card", "Oratory" and "Creative Competition".

Vitebsk State Medical University was worthily represented at the competition by a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Medicine Kaznovetskaya Yana, demonstrating outstanding abilities at each stage, as well as the best qualities inherent in VSMU students.

On December 18, 2024, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Aspects of Training and Professional Activities of Medical Specialists" was held within the framework of the agreement between VSMU and Volgograd State Medical University, the Institute of Public Health at VolgSMU.
