Foreign students visit Minsk

fpig to MinskOn May 11, students of the Faculty of Overseas Students Training visited the capital of the Republic of Belarus - the hero-city of Minsk. O.A. Khodos (curator of 48 and 51 groups of the first course of OSTF) and Z.S. Kuntsevich (curator of 47 groups of the first course of OSTF) notified the foreign students about this trip. Students from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, Spain, India, Lebanon and Pakistan under the leadership of the OSTF deputy dean M.A. Senkovich and the head of the Department of Organic Chemistry Associate Professor O.A. Khodos visited the National Library of Belarus and the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. With undisguised interest, students listened to guides, viewed historical exhibits, collections of small arms, military ammunition and paraphernalia, photographs, and much more. Foreign students got acquainted with the historical past of the Republic of Belarus, with the peculiarities of librarianship and saw Minsk from a bird's-eye view.

Forum "The Heritage of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the Basis of Sacrificial Service"

July 1-3, 2025, the teacher-organizer Sergei Nazarev took part in the International Forum "The Heritage of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the Basis of Sacrificial Service" with a presentation "Innovative educational project "Large family - national wealth of Belarus" (Diveyevo village, Nizhny Novgorod region, Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveyevo Monastery). In 2025, the representatives of 33 regions of Russia, as well as the representative office of the Republic of Belarus consisting of 15 people, took part in the forum.

There is a free trial access to interactive digital teaching aids, placed in the Electronic Library System ‘Student's Consultant’ (https://www.studentlibrary.ru) open for VSMU. The aids are placed in the section ‘Digital teaching aids’. These resources have been developed by GEOTAR-Digital together with teachers from leading medical universities of the Russian Federation and are aimed at in-depth and visual learning of basic and clinical disciplines.

Friendship and national cultures meeting on television

img004The "Evening Vitebsk" program, participated by vice-rector for Pedagogical and Ideological work Olga A. Syrodoeva, the deputy dean of OSTF Maria A. Senkovich, overseas and belarusian students, went on air on 8 November 2016 on the television and radio company "Vitebsk". The talk was devoted to the International friendship and National cultures, which had been conducted within the framework of XX International Art Festival of medical students "Student autumn VSMU 2016".

Friendship without Borders

friendship without borders 04On October 23 2019, in the lobby of the first floor and lecture hall No. 3 of Vitebsk State Medical University, the by now already established event of international friendship "What Unites Us" was held as part of the creativity festival of medical students.

Our university can rightfully bear the name the Order of Peoples’ Friendship – in this evening all students merge into a single entity and the journey in the wonderful world of different cultures begins.

Therefore, the concert program on results of the charity campaign "Goodness is always saving..." was awaited by everyone eagerly. This act of helping for children of the Vitebsk regional infant orphanage-based palliative center has been conducting for years already and is successfully being carried on further.
