Head of the World Bank Representative Office in the Republic of Belarus visited VSMU

world bank 4On July 7, 2017, during his visit to Vitebsk region Mr. Jan Chul Kim, the Head of the World Bank Office in the Republic of Belarus, visited VSMU. He got acquainted with the structure of the university, its material and technical facilities. The high-level official was also shown the departments of the VSMU clinic and possibilities for students to be trained at educational center of practical and simulation training. Mr. Yang Chul Kim expressed his interests in the development of modern educational technologies based on expanding the range of technical facilities for simulation training and increasing their feasibility level.

Health Day at school No. 34: students and staff of VSMU held an educational event for children

health day 01On June 20, 2025, the employees of the Faculty of Pediatrics at VSMU: the Head of the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 Elena Kosenkova, the assistant Ekaterina Grishchenko, along with the 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics Alyona Slutskaya and Polina Denisenok visited secondary school No. 34 in Vitebsk, where they held a "Health Day" for the students in grades 2-4.

Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus has approved the dissertation of staff members of Vitebsk State Medical University:

Master’s dissertation:
Yulia R. Elenskaya – a senior lecturer of the Restorative Dentistry Chair (academic adviser: M.D., Professor Semenov V.M.);
Andrei S. Zanko – an applicant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (academic adviser: M.D. Semenov D.M.);
Tamara D. Nadirashvili – an applicant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (academic adviser: M.D., Professor Zanko S.N.).

University administration, postgraduate and doctoral studies department congratulate on the successful defense of dissertations and wish further creative success.

I Forum of youth scientific communities

IMG 94901st Forum of youth scientific communities was held on 2 November, 2016 in the walls of the Vitebsk State Medical University. This event brought together 76 young scientists, graduate students, specialists who work with young people, students and academic staff from 30 higher educational institutions and scientific organizations in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. This forum was organized by the Council of VSMU young scientists and Open University Skolkovo.

I was lucky enough to visit the "Victory Train"

On the day of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus and the Independence Day I was lucky enough to visit the “Victory Train”, which was in our city on July 2 and 3, 2024.

The project is an interactive exhibition dedicated to the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. The museum on wheels consists of 10 themed carriages, each reflecting a different period of the war, pre- and post-war.
