Employees of VSMU took part in the scientific-practical conference “Pharmaceutical science: challenges and solutions in the XXI century”

On April 8-10, 2025, the International Exhibition and Forum on Pharmaceutics and Biotechnology was held in St. Petersburg. This is an important industry event that annually gathers hundreds of pharmaceutical industry experts from Russia, near and far abroad.

Within the framework of the event there was held All-Russian scientific-practical conference with international participation “Pharmaceutical science: challenges and solutions in the XXI century” in which the staff of VSMU took part.

Enrollment of applicants who are winners of university olympiads in biology and chemistry

On July 2, 2024, at an open meeting of the admissions committee of VSMU, the applicants-winners of university olympiads in biology and chemistry were enrolled in the medical, pediatric and pharmaceutical faculties for a budgetary form of education. The winners of the university Olympiads are given the best place in the dormitory and an additional scholarship during the autumn semester. We wish further success to our already enrolled students!!!

The event brought together fans of the talent of the Soviet poet, theater and film actor, and songwriter. The university staff and students remembered the creative and life path of Vladimir Semenovich, performed his poems and songs.

Academic staff, students and university personnel are invited to take part in festive events dedicated to 83rd anniversary of Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University.

Exhibition of students’ cooking arts

Exhibition of students’ cooking arts opened on October 28 at the MEB student cafe. All our hostels presented their exquisite and original dishes as well as foreign communities of Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Ghana, Lebanon, Turkmenistan and India. This year the dishes have been presented by our cookery experts in "Cakes and sweets" section.

Festive action dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia

On April 2, 2026, on the Day of the Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, a festive event was held at VSMU.

The solemn ceremony took place symbolically in the Apple Tree Memorial Alley, established on the university grounds a year earlier. The choice of the location was not accidental: the apple tree is a symbol of life, youth, and hope. Students and university staff tied dozens of ribbons in the colors of the two countries’ flags onto the branches. White, blue, and red ribbons intertwined with green and red, creating a vibrant symbol of unity.

Final certification at the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining in Pedagogy and Psychology of VSMU

On January 8-9, 2024, at the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining in Pedagogy and Psychology of VSMU, the final certification of students of group ПД-4 of the retraining specialty “Pedagogical Activities in English” took place. The final certification was carried out in the form of thesis defense, the topics of which covered current issues of organizing the educational process, methodology of teaching activities in English, educational work with the students of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training with English as the language of instruction. The students demonstrated a high level of development of social, personal, academic, and professional competencies.
