We had a very successful and international summer school 2017. We have, therefore, decided to repeat our traditional English language and British culture summer school in July and August 2018. A standard application deadline for students requiring a visa will be 6th April 2018 to allow for sufficient time for the visa application process for the July summer school; and 11th May accordingly for the August summer school.

The enrolment is made very easy and we assist your students with their visa applications. No agent fees are involved and we have good discounts for groups arriving. We shall take care of your students from the moment they arrive at the airport in Manchester, and at the end of the summer school we shall bring them back to the same airport again.

On January 26-27, 2024, the IV International Olympiad for medical students “From the teachings of Abu Ali ibn Sina to the third Renaissance” was held at the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino (the Republic of Uzbekistan).

Members of the VSMU student team won victories in the following categories of the Olympiad:

Trade union activists of the employees and students, members of the primary organization of the public association "Belarusian Women's Union" of VSMU took part in the IV interregional bike ride of members of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers of the Vitebsk Region, dedicated to the Independence Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

On 19-30 March 2018, VSMU welcomed guests from the Republic of Kazakhstan - representatives of Karaganda Medical University: the Head of the Department of Pediatrics and Perinatology, Professor Abeuova Bibigul and the Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Surgical Dentistry, Associate Professor Tuleutaeva Svetlana, who under the Agreement on Cooperation between our universities gave lectures to students and academic staff.

Approximately fifty students and staff members of VSMU participated in the excursion route titled “Restored Churches of Vitebsk City” as part of the innovative project “Restoration of Churches in Vitebsk Region.” The project includes guided tours of churches in Vitebsk and the surrounding area, open dialogues, interactive educational activities, charity events, photo exhibitions, and displays of student artwork.
