On July 5, 2025, in Vitebsk, on the Flag and Coat of Arms Square, the solemn taking of the Military Oath by the 4th-year students of Vitebsk State Medical University, who are undergoing training under the reserve officer training program, took place. 161 VSMU students swore allegiance to the Republic of Belarus in the presence of their relatives and friends.

The VSMU employees and their family members took part in an interregional bike ride of the members of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the Vitebsk region, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

On July 2, 2025, a solemn signing of a cooperation agreement took place on the basis of VSMU between the educational establishment Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University, represented by the Rector Alexei Chukanov, and the state educational establishment Secondary School No. 3 named after L.N.Belitsky in Mozyr, represented by the Director Elena Pribyshchuk.

On July 2, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a solemn event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

In his address to the audience, the University Rector Alexey Chukanov noted:

"... The fact that all conditions have been created today for us to work peacefully is a great merit of previous generations.

And I am sure that we will be worthy followers of them..."
