On March 31, 2026, the final stage of the Republican Student Olympiad was held at GomSMU, utilizing simulation technologies in epidemiology and infectious diseases. Students from the 4th to 6th years of all medical universities in Belarus participated. The theme of the Olympiad was "Infection Safety: From Prevention to Treatment."

On March 31, 2026, the university hosted a methodological association of study group curators, attended by Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector of Ideological and Educational Work; Elena Sharykhina, Head of the Department for International and Interregional Relations; Lyudmila Somova, head of the Methodical Association; Inna Matsuk, methodologist; Margarita Orlova, Deputy Dean of the Overseas Students Training Faculty; and Victoria Mikhlyuk, Head of the Social– educational and psychological service.

On March 22, 2026, in Minsk, on the stage of the XII Open Festival-Competition "New Peaks — 2026," the studio met its finest hour. Just three years earlier, it had begun with rehearsals at its home university. The Oriental dance studio of VSMU, headed by Elena Nemshon, a 5th-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, did not just perform well — she conquered the jury and received the highest award of the competition.

On March 28, 2026, training sessions of the republican project "Start the Heart" were held at the simulation and certification center of Vitebsk State Medical University, attended by tenth-grade students.

Under the guidance of the center’s specialists, high school students learned the key elements of pre-medical care, including recognizing signs of sudden cardiac arrest, the correct algorithm for calling emergency services, as well as techniques for indirect heart massage and mechanical ventilation.

On March 30, 2026, a regular meeting was held at the VSMU Student Center as part of the Persona educational project.

The guest of the event, which took place in an "Open Dialogue" format, was Mikhail Listopadov, a representative of the new wave of students from Vitebsk Hockey Club and a defender of the Bears.
