On July 25, 2025, Rector of VSMU, member of the Presidium of the City Council of Deputies Aleksey Chukanov took part in the meeting of delegations of Smolensk and Vitebsk City Councils of Deputies.

During the visit, promising areas of cooperation in the framework of improving the training of medical personnel and organizing the provision of medical care were discussed.

On July 25, 2025, the final practice in the reserve officer training program was completed at VSMU. The students successfully passed the exam on special military training, demonstrating deep knowledge and excellent preparation.

Thanks to the ongoing work to strengthen the international status of the university, VSMU entered THE Impact Rankings and occupies the 1501+ position, taking into account the high level of scientific research activity, social and global responsibility.

Socialization of people with spinal cord injuries became the key topic of the active rehabilitation camp organized by the Public Assasiation “Republican Association of Wheelchair Users”. The event was held from July 11 to 24, 2025 in Minsk at the Specialized Educational and Rehabilitation Center of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian prosthetic and orthopedic recovery center”.

Volunteer support for the camp participants was provided by students of VSMU Faculty of Medicine: Zhukov Grigory, Simonets Elizaveta, Kulakov Nikita and Alekseev Alexander.

On July 17, 2025, a meeting between the deputy of Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov and university students undergoing final practical training in special military training at the 103^rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade was held.

During the visit, a dialogue platform within the framework of the Unified Information Day, dedicated to current issues of the development of sovereign Belarus was held. Important aspects of the historical path of Belarus, the results of the Great Patriotic War, achievements in the field of medicine, education and economics, as well as prospects for the development of innovative areas were touched upon.
