On July 6, 2026, VSMU hosted a meeting between University Rector Alexey Chukanov and the university's management with 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students from the dental and medical faculties of Russia's leading medical universities.

The event became an important stage in the implementation of academic mobility programs between VSMU and Russian partner universities.

On July 6, 2026, as part of the official visit of the delegation of the Kashkadarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Vitebsk, a visit to the Vitebsk State Medical University took place. The delegation included the head and representatives of the Kashkadarya regional Health Department and heads of clinics.

Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the General Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, greeted their Uzbek colleagues.

On July 2, 2026, a delegation of Vitebsk State Medical University staff led by Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice–Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, took part in the Disney Frontier - Frontier of Valor rally dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

On July 3, 2026, on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, employees, representatives of public associations and organizations of VSMU, headed by Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work, took part in a rally and a flower–laying ceremony at the memorial complex "Liberators of Vitebsk - Soviet Soldiers, partisans and Underground fighters" on Victory Square.
