On October 8, a dialogue meeting between university students and Inna Kostyukovich, the head of the Vitebsk Diocesan Center for Motherhood, Childhood, and Family Values "Tenderness," took place at VSMU. The meeting was dedicated to the topics of family health and marital fidelity. Inna Vladimirovna emphasized that good health is the foundation of a healthy and happy life.
On October 2-3, the III International Interdisciplinary Congress "Comorbid Neurology" was held in Moscow. The event program brought together more than 3,000 participants from various countries. A delegation of Belarusian neurologists, leading specialists from the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Neurology and Neurosurgery, representatives from the departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery of medical universities, and young researchers actively participated in this prominent international scientific forum.
On October 7, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, met with pharmacists from Gomel UE Pharmacy, as well as young specialists and interns working in healthcare institutions in Zhlobin. The event was attended by graduates from all medical universities in the country.
On October 7, Ksenia Karmanovich, a second-year student of the Pediatric Faculty, spoke about the innovative project "Youth of VSMU for Family Values: A Large Family is the National Wealth of Belarus," which has been successfully implemented at VSMU since 2021. Last year, while still a first-year student, Ksenia participated in a university-wide initiative, delivering a presentation about her wonderful family—parents, siblings, and the supportive atmosphere that helps her study effectively, pursue scientific interests, and engage in public activities.
On October 6, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, held a systematic meeting with young specialists and interns from healthcare institutions in Gomel and Mozyr.
Angelina Gizovskaya, a student of the Stomatological Faculty at VSMU, took 1st place at the international boxing tournament held in memory of four-time USSR champion O. G. Korotaev, which took place in Moscow from September 29 to October 5.
Angelina is a master of sports and trains under the guidance of Leonid Bolshakov, Head of the Department of Physical Education at VSMU.
