On September 17, 2025, students and staff of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova and Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Dmitry Kuzhel, took part in the patriotic forum “Time Has Chosen Us. Time for New Victories!”, dedicated to National Unity Day.

The event, held at the Summer Amphitheater, brought together representatives of labor collectives, public associations, schoolchildren, and students from the Vitebsk region.

On September 17, 2025, a delegation from Vitebsk State Medical University participated in a large-scale forum of patriotic forces dedicated to National Unity Day. The event, organized by the Headquarters of Patriotic Forces, took place at the Palace of Sports in the capital city.

VSMU was represented at the forum by Irina Gorodetskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining in Pedagogy and Psychology; Elena Gusakova, Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Training; Vasily Glushanko, Head of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare with the Advanced Training and Retraining Course; and Stanislav Mikholap, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Dentistry.

The purpose of the event was to consolidate society, exchange experience, and develop key directions for the further development of Belarus. The forum gathered renowned state and public figures, as well as opinion leaders from across the country.

In accordance with the Student Council for Education Quality work plan, on September 17, 2025, a meeting was held between council members and first-year class leaders from all faculties at VSMU, with the participation of the First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova and representatives of the deans’ offices.

The council chairperson, Yana Kaznovetskaya, a fifth-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, introduced the freshmen to the goals and objectives of the council’s work, as well as the events organized by the council.

On September 17, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, met with young specialists and interns from the Brest region working in healthcare institutions and the "Brest Pharmacy" system.

A significant part of the meeting took place on that day – National Unity Day – at the Brest Fortress, a symbol of heroism and unity of spirit.

On September 17, 2025, a deeply symbolic meeting was held at the Vitebsk State Medical University – a dialogue platform with Gleb Lapitsky, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and General Director of the Vitebsk Cultural Center.

This day, filled with special meaning, set the tone for a sincere and meaningful conversation about what matters most: the connection between eras, the continuity of generations, and the unshakable values that unite the Belarusian people.
