As part of the signing of a cooperation agreement to organize specialized medical classes with the Glubokoe Regional Gymnasium state educational institution, a career guidance meeting with the school’s students was held on September 30, 2025.

During the event, Elena Sharykhina, Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations, and Elena Gusakova, Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course, introduced the high school students to the university’s rich history, modern educational programs, and wide-ranging opportunities for scientific and extracurricular activities. This gave the students a comprehensive insight into the multifaceted life of the university.

From September 23 to 26, students and staff of VSMU, as part of the delegation from the Vitebsk region, participated in the events of the All-Russian rally "Ambassadors of Victory. Smolensk." This rally was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the liberation of Smolensk from the german-fascist occupation, and the 40th anniversary of Smolensk being awarded the title of "Hero City."

On September 27, 2025, the first event of the ninth cohort of the Leadership Platform "Team of the Future" took place, attended by Denisenok Polina, chairperson of the VSMU Student Council.

The meeting was eventful: participants had the opportunity to enhance their skills in communication, public speaking, and critical thinking, as well as gain invaluable experience from professionals in the field of public administration. A helpful reminder regarding dress code was also provided.

On September 27, 2025, 90 employees and students of VSMU made an exciting trip to the Grand Duchy of Sula, the first interactive medieval history park in Belarus, located 50 km from Minsk on the shore of a picturesque lake.

A large stone at the entrance to the park commemorates that on September 17, 1939, the unification of Belarusian lands into a single country began from this place – then the so-called "old border" with Poland passed here.

Traditionally, at the beginning of the academic year, meetings are held between the university administration and first-year international students.

The Dean of FOST, Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin, the Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work, Denis Lits, and staff from the Dean's Office met with the FOST students.
