On October 28, 2025, a videoconference was held between the leadership of Vitebsk State Medical University and Shandong Higher College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Colleagues from the Chinese institution were welcomed by Denis Lits, Vice-rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work; Elena Sharykhina, Head of the Department of International and Interregional Affairs; and Anna Pchelintseva, Head of the Department of International Affairs.

The main outcome of the meeting was an agreement to launch a joint educational program in 2026, which was officially approved by the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China.

On October 28, 2025, at the SEE “Secondary School No. 1 named after V.F. Margelov in Novopolotsk”, a career guidance event was held for students in grades 9–11 of general secondary education institutions in Novopolotsk. The event was attended by Elena Gusakova, Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course at VSMU, and Lyubov Orekhova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course.

During the meeting, students were introduced to admission opportunities at VSMU, with a particular focus on participation in university Olympiads in biology and chemistry, as well as the advantages of admission through targeted training programs.

These events aim to help young people make conscious decisions about their future specialties and to learn about the admission procedures and educational opportunities at VSMU.

On October 24, 2025, Gomel State Medical University hosted the final stage of the Republican Olympiad using simulation technologies in neurology and neurosurgery. Our university was represented by Anastasia Solovyova, a 6th-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, and Olga Zmushko, Anastasia Stepankova, and Yana Kaznovetskaya, 5th-year students of the General Medicine Faculty.

On October 25, 2025, as part of the Republican Clean-Up Day, students and staff of VSMU organized charity events to clean the territory of the Holy Protection Cathedral in Vitebsk, as well as the temples of the Nativity of the Virgin in village Svecha and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in village Slobodka of the Beshenkovichi district.

Additionally, as part of the campaign, students visited memorials dedicated to the heroes who fell in the battles for their homeland (1941–1945). They honored their memory and tidied the area around the mass graves.

Such events contribute significantly to the study of national historical and cultural heritage, foster citizenship and patriotism among young people, and promote respect for the spiritual heritage of the nation. They have already become a cherished tradition among students of Vitebsk State Medical University.

On October 22, 2025, at the Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Center, a regional seminar titled "Modern Strategies for the Prevention of Diseases in Premature Infants" was held. The event was organized with the participation of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2, with a course of Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining, and the Department of Reproductive Medicine, Obstetrics, and Gynecology of Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining of VSMU.
