Two polling stations for the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus have been established at VSMU, which began their work on January 10, 2025.

The Rector of VSMU Aleksey Chukanov visited the polling stations located at the university and got acquainted with the organization of their work. All conditions have been created at the polling stations for comfortable expression of the will of voters in accordance with the requirements of the electoral legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

On January 10, 2025, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Marina Fomina, the Head of the International Relations Department Anna Pchelintseva met with the students of the partner university Volgograd State Medical University Lidiya Solovieva and Elina Eremina, who studied at our university for a semester as part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between VSMU and VolGMU.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus is holding a competition for the best logo (symbol) of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 247rp dated December 31, 2024, the decision of the council of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted pupils and students was approved.

On January 9, 2025, the regular meeting of the University Council was held, at which the reports for 2024 were considered and approved: on the scientific activities of the university, on the results of work with appeals from citizens and legal entities, on the work of the University Council, as well as on the implementation of research work at the expense of the grant of the President of the Republic of Belarus in the field of education. The members of the council supported the petitions: on the nomination of an applicant for an academic title, on the replacement of the head of clinical residents.
