On June 27, 2025, a meeting of the University Council was held, at which decisions were made to nominate staff members for grants from the President of the Republic of Belarus in the fields of science, education, health and youth policy for 2026; to change the name of the department; a petition for awarding academic titles of professor and associate professor to university staff was supported; made a report on the ideological and educational work with the workforce in the 2024/2025 academic year; the issues of preparing the university for the new academic year are considered.

The graduation ceremony of Vitebsk State Medical University for the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine was held on June 27, 2025.

384 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, including 46 holders of diplomas with honors, are leaving Alma Mater.

The solemn event was attended by: the administration of VSMU, headed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the Chairman of the State Examination Commission Irina Mikheenko, the Head of the the Department of Organizational work of the Vitebsk regional Organization of the BUHW Dmitry Parevsky, the Archpriest Sergiy Zakharov, the teaching staff, parents and friends of graduates.

On June 27, 2025, VSMU started accepting documents from the applicants who apply for targeted training and applicants who are the winners of the university Olympiad.

Alexey Chukanov, the Rector of VSMU, opened the admission campaign in 2025. He met with the applicants and their parents, wished them success in their admission and expressed confidence that Vitebsk State Medical University would become a reliable starting point for them in their profession.

The solemn Council of VSMU dedicated to the 39th graduation of Doctors of Medicine, the 30th graduation of Pharmacists and the 20th graduation of Doctors of Dentistry of the FOST was held on June 26, 2025.

Citizens of Bangladesh, Ghana, Germany, Egypt, India, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, the Republic of Maldives, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Singapore, Syria, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Sri Lanka will take their diplomas of a doctor and pharmacist to their homeland.
