The delegation from VSMU, led by Denis Lits, Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work, participated in the events of the second day (October 10, 2025) of the International Forum of Young Parliamentarians "Youth in Local Government," made possible through the cooperation between the Minsk and Vitebsk City Councils of Deputies.

The program was equally intense: participants laid flowers at the obelisk "Minsk — the Hero City," paying tribute to the bravery of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. The final plenary session followed, during which the results of the forum were summarized, further development pathways outlined, and all participants were awarded certificates.

Students of Vitebsk State Medical University participated in the III Republican Charity Youth Ball "Good Evening", held on October 10, 2025, at the VSAVM House of Culture.

The evening's uniqueness was highlighted by its special participants — four-legged "guests" also attended the event. This was no coincidence, as the motto of this year's ball was: "We are responsible for those who have been tamed."

Based on the examination results by the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission on October 8, 2025, Natalia Nikolaevna Yarotskaya, Senior Researcher at the Research Laboratory and Candidate of Biological Sciences, was awarded the academic rank of Associate Professor in the specialty of Biology.

As part of the investigation by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus into the criminal case concerning the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period, on October 3 and 9, 2025, staff members and first-year students of VSMU visited a mass burial site—an unmarked grave with the remains of several hundred murdered civilians—in a forest area approximately 3 km from Polotsk.

Participants laid flowers and paid tribute to the victims' memory.

Igor Vladimirovich Metelitsa, Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of Legislation Implementation in the Military, spoke about the progress and results of the investigation, the importance of preserving historical memory, and ensuring the ideological continuity of generations.
