In pursuance of the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus to increase the availability and improve the quality of medical care in the regions, the Leadership of Vitebsk State Medical University is carrying out activities aimed at achieving these goals.

On January 21, 2025, the ceremonial opening of the branch of the Department of Infectious Diseases with a course for advanced training and retraining of personnel of Vitebsk State Medical University took place in the infectious diseases building of Mogilev Hospital No. 1.

On January 20, 2024, on the eve of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, a dialogue platform "Faculty of Medicine: achievements, ways and prospects of development" was held with the participation of  the Rector Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Natalya Konevalova, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolay Dorofeev, the Chairman of the Trade Union of Employees Alexander Myasoedov, and labor collectives of the departments of the Faculty of Medicine.

On January 18, 2025, the primary trade union organizations of the VSMU staff and students organized an unforgettable tourist and excursion trip to one of the oldest cities in Russia – Smolensk.

On January 20, 2025, on the eve of a significant event for our country - the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, a meeting of the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Denis Nikolaevich Lits with the staff of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training was held at the VSMU Voter Center.
