On January 29, 2025, the 80th scientific session of the University "Achievements in fundamental, clinical medicine and pharmacy" began its work at the educational establishment "Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the formation of VSMU and timed to coincide with the Day of Belarusian Science.

On January 28, 2025, the negotiations were held in the format of a video conference between VSMU and a new partner from India, the Chandigarh Group of Colleges.

The Indian partners were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, Denis Lits. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Valentina Kugach, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Anna Pchelintseva.

The grand opening of the Spartakiad "Cheerfulness and Health-2025" among the faculty and the staff of VSMU took place on January 29. The representatives of the veteran organization of VSMU will take an active part in the Spartakiad competitions. The sports competitions will last until February 11.

On January 27, 2025, the scientific and educational school for students with international participation "Fundamental Sciences for Medicine" started its work at Vitebsk State Medical University.
