From 4 to 6, 2024, 5 students of the Faculty of Medicine took part in the X International Youth Medical Congress "St. Petersburg Scientific Readings - 2024", held at the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov.

The scientific work of the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Medicine Kushchina M.K. and Ladik N.O. "Correlation relationship between the levels of the Cxcl12 gene and microRNA-3558-3p involved in the process of cell migration from the bone marrow under conditions of experimental liver fibrosis" (supervisor – the Associate Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology Lebedeva E.I.) took first place and was recognized as one of the best. The 6th year student Belyaeva D.A. received a 3rd degree diploma. The 4th and 6th year students Kizimenko A.A. and Nesterenok A.I. received participant certificates.

On December 9, 2024, as part of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Genocide, the students and teachers of VSMU visited places of mourning and grief - the memorial complexes "Three Bayonets" and "Fifth Regiment". Those present honored the memory of the dead with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the graves of the dead and tortured prisoners of war and civilians.

On December 9, 2024, within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between Vitebsk State Medical University and Volgograd State Medical University, an online lecture on pediatrics was held for the students of the medical faculty of VSMU.

On December 7, 2024, a grand sports and entertainment show "Time of Our Victories" was held in Minsk. The students and staff of VSMU took part in the event as part of the delegation of the Vitebsk region.

The main idea of ​​the event is to unite the nation, because sport is a great force that unites hearts. Belarusians have something to be proud of and cherish. There is no need to look for a better moment - it is worth winning, creating, building, loving, remembering now. It is this philosophical idea that the scriptwriters and organizers of the show "Time of Our Victories" managed to reveal.
