On January 17, 2026, the retirement ceremony for the Head of the Industrial Internship Department, Valeria Vladimirovna Olshannikova, took place.

The Rector of the University, Aleksey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Natalya Konevalova, the staff of the dean's offices, and colleagues gathered in the conference hall of the main academic building to express their gratitude to Valeria Vladimirovna for her many years of conscientious work for the benefit of the Vitebsk State Medical University, to thank her for their joint work, and to wish her many years of an active life full of joyful events in her new status.

On January 16, 2025, on the eve of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the dialogue platform "Dentistry Faculty: achievements, ways and prospects of development" was held at VSMU with the participation of the university administration: the First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolai Dorofeev, the Chairman of the Trade Union of Employees Alexander Myasoedov, labor collectives of the departments.

On January 16, 2025, the VSMU delegation headed by the rector of the university Alexey Chukanov visited the exhibition of achievements "My Belarus", which is taking place in the international exhibition center "BelExpo".

The exhibition also presents an exposition of the Belarusian healthcare system.

On January 16, 2025, a video conference was held between VSMU and the partner university, the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences.
