From April 21 to 24, 2025 in St. Petersburg XVI Festival of Arts of medical students and medical workers, organized jointly by three medical universities: St. Petersburg State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, St. Petersburg State Medical University named after Acad. I.P. Pavlov and SPbSPMU was held. This is a unique event that unites medicine and creativity, revealing the best qualities of students outside their studies.

May Day is a truly popular holiday in our country, which has a long and strong tradition. It is a symbol of our cohesion and unity, a pledge of prosperity of our native Belarus.

April 30, 2025. VSMU took part in the seminar in the format of videoconference between educational establishments of the Republic of Belarus and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, organized by the Republican Institute of Higher Education.

The main purpose of the seminar was to strengthen academic and scientific interaction between the countries. From the side of VSMU Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, made a welcoming speech. The Lao delegation was represented by the leading universities and representatives of the Ministry of Education of Laos, interested in the exchange of experience with the Belarusian colleagues.

On April 30, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted the solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the Labor Holiday

This holiday unites professions and generations, gives mental uplift and energy.  And such concepts as Peace and Labor are eternal symbols of creation, the guarantee of development of any society, strengthening of the economy, improvement of the people's welfare.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the representatives of administration, teachers and students of VSMU. Nikolay Dorofeev, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel, addressed the audience with words of congratulations.

On April 26, 2025, the staff and students of VSMU went on an excursion trip “Symbols of Memory” organized by the trade union organizations of the University. The trip was a deep dive into history, filled with both pride, sorrow and reflection on the price of peaceful skies.
