The professional competition BRAND OF THE YEAR has been conducted over 15 years in the Republic of Belarus. The structure of the competition is composed of consumer, professional category and the honorable nomination “Socially Responsible Brand” that reflects the social attitude of the organization presenting it.

The honorable nomination “Socially Responsible Brand” is annually held to determine and award companies that demonstrate activity in different spheres of corporate social responsibility.

On 17th January 2017, during the visit to the Republic of Belarus, the delegation of Asian-Pacific Institute of Management (Republic of India, New Delhi) headed by Mr. A.K. Srivastava paid a visit to Vitebsk State Medical University. During talks with Vice-rector of International Affairs and Work with Foreign Citizens, Candidate of Medical Science Savchuk M.M. and the head of International Relations Department, Candidate of Medical Science Matyushchenko O.V., the parties discussed the prospects of admission for Indian students at VSMU.

In 2016 by the initiative of Council of Young Scientists of VSMU with the support of Rector of the University of A.T. Shchastniy first organized and held a competition of the university scientific startup grants for young scientists.

On 22nd December 2016, a festive international concert and theatrical event "Good New Year" was held at the №2 hostel of EE "Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University", organized by the dean's office of Overseas Students Training Faculty, the foreign students’ commission of students’ trade union committee of VSMU and students-activists of №1 and №2 hostels.
