On September 16, first-year students of Vitebsk State Medical University took part in the Republican dictation “Day of National Unity.”

The main goal of this patriotic event is to remind people of the deep meaning of the Day of National Unity, to strengthen the sense of community, pride in our country and its history. The dictation was written all across Belarus at educational institutions participating in the republican broadcast. The text was prepared by the Academy of Education. It is written in Belarusian and is dedicated to patriotism, people's unity, and the preservation of historical memory.

On September 15, 2025, Rector of VSMU, Alexey Chukanov, and directors of general secondary educational institutions in Vitebsk District signed agreements on cooperation aimed at establishing specialized medical-oriented classes.

From September 11 to 14, 2025, in the Minsk region, the Student Tourism Rally of the Republican Universiade 2025 and the Student Tourism Rally of the Union State took place.

Twenty-five universities from Belarus and Russia competed over four days in various contest and sports events.

The President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, spoke about continuity and the preservation of cultural heritage, saying:  "A lot now depends on how united we are and how much we want to live on our land. Therefore, everyone will do their part to live, work, build, and modernize here..."

As part of the innovative project "Restoration of Churches in Vitebsk Region," students and staff of VSMU participated in a charitable event dedicated to Unity Day and the Year of Improvement. The activity involved cleaning the territory and the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located in the village of Svecha, Beshankovichi District, Vitebsk Region.

It is worth noting that in 2025, VSMU actively implements student initiatives aimed at improving the university and the student campus area, memorials of the Great Patriotic War, and architectural monuments. The VSMU project to raise public awareness about the restoration of objects of historical and spiritual heritage, as well as the development of cultural and educational tourism, is one of these initiatives.

On September 13, 2025, a delegation from VSMU, composed of the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Organizational-Legal Work, Denis Lits, the Dean of the Pre-university Training Faculty, Elena Gusakova, Deputy Dean of the Pre-university Training Faculty, Lyubov Orekhova, and students, presented an orientation exhibition booth at the "Career Festival" held in Gorky Central Park in Minsk.
