The conference was attended by First Vice-Rector of VSMU, Alina Shchupakova, and the Second Secretary of the Vitebsk City Organization of the Public Association "BRYU," Victoria Petrova. 

In her welcoming speech to the conference delegates, Alina Shchupakova noted: 

On August 15, a delegation from VSMU attended the Vitebsk Regional Forum "Sustainable Development: From Concept to Implementation." The forum featured:

• The regional strategy for sustainable development of Vitebsk Region until 2040;
• International experience in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals;
• Practical examples of localizing the Sustainable Development Goals by enterprises and organizations in Vitebsk Region.

VSMU showcased its achievements in training highly qualified specialists and implementing modern methods of diagnostics and treatment, which contribute to preserving the health of the population of Vitebsk Region.

The university's participation in such an event highlights its commitment to the principles of sustainable development and its strive to create a healthy and prosperous society

By decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko, Alina Nikolaevna Shchupakova, First Vice-Rector of VSMU, was awarded the Medal "For Labour Merit". 

Zinaida Stepanovna Kuntsevich, Head of the Department of General and Organic Chemistry at VSMU, was awarded the Medal of Francysk Skaryna.

From August 1 to 3, a tourist rally for the prizes of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers was held at recreational complex “Vysokiy Bereg”, in which employees of Vitebsk State Medical University also took part.

On August 1, 2025, a meeting between the rector of Vitebsk State Medical University Alexey Chukanov and young specialists who arrived at their first workplace was held.

Alexey Nikolaevich welcomed the young specialists, wished them success in their professional activities, and also noted that the university administration has provided and will provide comprehensive assistance and support in resolving emerging issues.
