On 8 October 2026, Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University and Brest Regional Children’s Hospital signed a cooperation agreement. The event was attended by the heads of both institutions and invited specialists.

The agreement was signed by VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov and Chief Physician of Brest Regional Children’s Hospital Sergey Kovshik.

In accordance with the work plan, an organisational meeting of the Student Council for Education Quality was held on 7 October. The event was attended by First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova, faculty deans, and staff from the academic affairs office. Students delegated by all faculties of the university also took part.

On 6 October 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University held an open-dialogue meeting bringing together the university’s leadership and young professionals. The event provided an important platform for discussing current issues related to professional adaptation and the development prospects of early-career employees.

On 6 October 2026, staff members and students of Vitebsk State Medical University–members of the “I Serve the Motherland” military-patriotic club, led by Igor Lyatos, Head of the Military Department–visited a site of mass killing and burial of victims of genocide during the Great Patriotic War, located in the agricultural town of Smoliany in Orsha District.

From 2 to 4 October 2026, the Republican Student Tourism Rally of the Republican Universiade 2026 took place in the Berezinsky District of Minsk Region.
