On October 18, 2025, Vitebsk hosted the Vitebsk Region Open Mountain Biking Championship, where Grigory Zhukov, a 4th-year student of the Medical Faculty of VSMU, Master of Sports, took 1st place.

Vitebsk State Medical University has completed the next stage of training highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in accordance with Decree No. 561 of the President of the Republic of Belarus "On Training and Certification of Highly Qualified Scientists," dated December 1, 2011 (with amendments and additions).

The "My Belarus" photo project is a virtual guided tour of the country's historical sites, showcasing the harmonious blend of cultural landmarks and ancient buildings, the unique culture and history of our people, as well as the distinct character and local flavor of each region.

On October 18, 2025, the career guidance event "Target Training Fair" was held at the Polotsk State Gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skorina. The event aimed to familiarize future applicants with admission opportunities in their chosen fields.

Lyubov Orekhova, Deputy Dean of the VSMU Faculty of Preparatory Training Course, and Olga Plavinskaya, head of the Polotsk Central City Hospital, met with students from educational establishments in Polotsk and the Polotsk district. During their presentations, special attention was given to the relevance of pursuing medical specialties, highlighting the features and advantages of admission to medical institutions under targeted training programs.

On October 17, VSMU paid tribute to mothers and fathers—those who surround each of us with love and care from the very first days of life.

Alexey Chukanov, the rector of the university, addressed the audience with warm congratulations, and the student club prepared a wonderful concert program.
