On June 10, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University and the Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of organizational, methodological, scientific and advisory work.

The corresponding document was signed by Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, and Dmitry Tapalsky, Director of the Institute of Physiology

On June 9, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a meeting between University Rector Alexey Chukanov and students of Astana Medical University (Kazakhstan).

The event was the final chord of the two-week internship of international students at the clinical bases of the university.

From June 1 to June 5, 2026, Gomel hosted the boxing championship of the Republic of Belarus among youth under 23 years of age. Angelina Gizovskaya, a 2nd-year student of the Stomatological Faculty, took 1st place in the 48 kg weight category.

As part of the "Babysitter instead of Mom" project, volunteers from the Red Cross and the "Always Saving Kindness" detachment of the VSMU regularly visit children left without parental care who are in the Vitebsk Regional Specialized Orphanage.

On June 8, 2026, representatives of Vitebsk State Medical University took part in the grand opening of the Belarusian-Ghanaian Business Forum, organized by the National Export Support Center in cooperation with the Ghana Investment Promotion Center. The President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, became an honorary participant of the forum.
