On September 27, 2024, within World Tourism Day, VSMU students, under the guidance of the sports club staff, went on a two-day hiking trip along the route VSMU - Lake Streshno (Sennensky District) - VSMU, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 90th anniversary of their native university.

But before setting off, the tourists tidied up the area around the monument to the Heroes of the Vitebsk Underground on Smolenskaya Square.

On September 27, 2024, a video conference was held, organized by VSMU and Kirov State Medical University.

The conference presented the results of research by the students who worked under the guidance of experienced teachers and doctors.

Teachers and students of partner universities discussed current problems of modern medicine, exchanged experience and knowledge, and proposed solutions to improve the health care of our society.

September 24-26, 2024, as part of the implementation of the popular science expedition of the student popular science expeditions project of the "Studturizm.rf" platform, VSMU was visited by students from the Northern (Arctic) Federal University (Arkhangelsk).

The program of the stay included acquaintance with the city of Vitebsk: a sightseeing tour of the city, an excursion to the Zdravnevo Museum-Estate and Dukhovskoy Kruglik.

A meeting of the University Council was held on September 26, 2024, at which the results of the 2024 admissions campaign were reviewed, changes in the composition of the dissertation defense council were approved, the candidacy of an applicant for admission to graduate school was recommended, a new version of the Regulation on the University Council was adopted, and employee candidacies were presented for awards and the assignment of the honorary title "Veteran of Labor of VSMU".

As part of the "Freshman Month", on September 26, 2024, a dialogue platform was held with the participation of the operative officer of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Vitebsk, the department for combating cybercrimes - Ksenia Berezovskaya, with first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry on the issue of combating cybercrimes and preventing offenses.

First-year students were familiarized with the basic rules and methods of security and protection from fraudsters, the safety of personal property and their finances.
