Actual issues of the examination session were discussed at the meeting of VSMU administration with students

On the 11th of June 2025 in VSMU the regular meeting of the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the administration of the University with the students of the 1st year of medical and dental faculties on actual aspects of the summer examination session was held.

Within the framework of the event the questions of preparation for the examination session, timely liquidation of academic debts on academic disciplines, observance of norms and requirements to the educational process were considered.

Solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the Day of Medical Workers and the end of the academic year

On June 10, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted the solemn ceremony of hoisting the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the Day of Medical Workers and the end of the academic year.

The Representatives of administration, teachers and students of VSMU took part in the solemn event.

The Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov addressed the audience with words of congratulations: ‘Summarising the results of the year, we can confidently say that we have achieved high results due to diligence, professionalism and cohesion of our staff. On the eve of the Day of Medical Workers I would like to wish you, dear colleagues and students, good health, inexhaustible patience, inspiration and new achievements. May your knowledge and dedication serve for the benefit of people, and good luck accompany you in all your endeavours. These are the qualities that make us real professionals - those who bring the light of health and hope!

VSMU at the events of the regional school on preparation and response to emergencies

Events of the regional school on preparation and response to emergencies of the Vitebsk regional organisation of the Belarusian Red Cross took place in the Polotsk district.

The primary organisation of the Red Cross of the Vitebsk State Medical University was represented by a student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Lavretskaya Varvara. The participants were trained on the following topics: search and rescue in the forest, first aid, equipment of temporary accommodation camp, first psychological aid, some aspects of tactical medicine for emergency squads of the Belarusian Red Cross.

Presentation of certificates to the graduates of the Faculty of Pre-University Training of VSMU

On the 9th of June, 2025 in VSMU the presentation of certificates to the graduates of the Faculty of Pre-University Training was held.

Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organisational and Legal Work, handed over the certificates of graduation from the Preparatory Department of FPT.

VSMU students took part in the evening of national cultures

On June 7, 2025, in the Mayakovsky square a musical evening of national cultures took place within the framework of the project ‘In the centre of culture - in the centre of Vitebsk’, timed to the 75th anniversary of the Culture Centre ‘Vitebsk’.

Students of the FOST VSMU, soloists of the vocal group ‘Mova Zor’ and the dance group ‘Mixfeeds’ took part in this bright musical event.
