A solemn event dedicated to the Day of the October Revolution and the 91st anniversary of the founding of the All-Russian State Medical University

On November 6, on the eve of the celebration of October Revolution Day, staff, students, and the university administration gathered at the VSMU flagpole to mark two significant events—each of which has left an indelible mark on our history and in our lives. The event's honorary guest was Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers.

The national flag of our country was solemnly raised to the sounds of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. This honorable duty was entrusted to Lieutenant Colonel of the medical service and senior lecturer of the military department, Arseniy Tsygankov, along with students Polina Ignachik, Egor Kostyukovich, Artem Torop, and Valeria Krupko.

Career guidance tours for VMMC students

From October 10 to November 5, 2025, the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course, in collaboration with the Department of Human Anatomy at VSMU, organized and conducted a series of 11 career-oriented excursions to the Anatomical Museum for students of all specialties at the Vitebsk State Medical College named after Academician I.P. Antonov.

Opening of the photo exhibition "History of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Vitebsk pharmacies"

In celebration of the 91st anniversary of the University and the 66th anniversary of the Pharmaceutical Faculty, within the framework of the scientific and educational cluster "Medicine and Pharmacy — Innovative Projects," VSMU, in collaboration with Vitebsk UE "Pharmacy," organized a photo exhibition titled "History of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Vitebsk Pharmacies."

Career guidance meeting with students of “the Polotsk State Gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skariny"

On November 5, 2025, the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course of VSMU held a career guidance meeting for students of grades 9–10 at Polotsk State Gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skariny.

VSMU in the project "Your Choice"

On November 4, 2025, representatives of VSMU participated in a live broadcast of the project "Your Choice" on Radio Vitebsk. Marina Fomina, Dean of the General Medicine Faculty; Elena Gusakova, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee and Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course; and Kira Shuverova, a sixth-year student, discussed key aspects of studying at the General Medicine Faculty at VSMU and outlined the university’s admission procedures.

Marina Fomina highlighted the specifics of the educational process, the faculty’s achievements, and emphasized a practice-oriented approach to training future doctors. Elena Gusakova explained the nuances of university admissions, particularly the advantages of targeted education and university Olympiads. Kira Shuverova shared her impressions of student life, noting the high standards of teaching, research, and social activities at the university.

VSMU continues to actively participate in career guidance initiatives, helping applicants make informed decisions about their futures.
