On April 17, 2025, a meeting of the University Council was held at VSMU, where Irina Kuchko, Alla Liora, Tatyana Chernina, Tatyana Shiryakova were awarded the commemorative badge “Veteran of Labor of VSMU”, and an associate professor certificate was presented to Evgeny Khodkov.

On April 17, 2025, as part of the republican campaign “Every Belarusian Must See This”, the documentary dilogy “Death Camps” and “Burnt Villages” of the National Film Studio “Belarusfilm” was screened in “Dom Kino”.

A delegation of VSMU headed by the Rector Alexei Chukanov took part in the event.

On April 17, 2025 the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industry, Energy, Transport, Communications and Digital Development of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Yuriy Panfilov met with the students and staff of VSMU at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The event was dedicated to the United Day of Information “The feat of the people to live in the centuries. To the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War”.

Within the framework of Cooperation Agreement with the Branch Center for retraining and advanced training of pedagogical staff at the Tashkent Medical Academy the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining in Pedagogy and Psychology of VSMU organized joint training courses on the subject of “Fundamental Medicine”.

It is planned to read 8 lectures, including biology, normal and pathological physiology, biological chemistry. The target audience - teachers of higher and specialized secondary educational establishments of medical profile of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On April 17, 2025, the Head of the Department of Medical Biology and General Genetics, Professor Vladislav Bekish in online mode delivered the first lecture on “Medical Parasitology”.

Listeners noted the relevance and practical significance of the lecture material.
