From 27 to 29 October, 2017 in the city of Zelenogorsk near St. Petersburg, the VII International Chemico-Olympic Games (HOI) was held, which was traditionally organized by St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical Academy (SPCPA). For the second consecutive year, the organizers invite the VSMU team to participate in the HOI.
Our team was represented by the students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty Anastasia Yezerskaya (the leader of the team), Maria Potapenko, Yevgenia Gruchenkova, Yevgeniy Terekhov, Alesya Baran, Kristina Gatalskaya, Victoria Zaytseva, Aleksandr Yurkevich, Maria Statkevich, Victoria Garashchuk.

On September 30, 2025, a meeting and signing of agreements on cooperation and networking in the implementation of educational programs took place between Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University and Minsk State Medical College.

Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov and Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits represented VSMU at the meeting.

The team of VSMU employees became the prize-winner of the regional tournament on winter fishing among health care workers.

Competitions were held on March 4, 2025, on the basis of tourist and recreation complex “Losvido”. The organizer of the event was the specialized trade union.

On March 28, 2026, training sessions of the republican project "Start the Heart" were held at the simulation and certification center of Vitebsk State Medical University, attended by tenth-grade students.

Under the guidance of the center’s specialists, high school students learned the key elements of pre-medical care, including recognizing signs of sudden cardiac arrest, the correct algorithm for calling emergency services, as well as techniques for indirect heart massage and mechanical ventilation.

In order to increase the export of educational services to the Lebanese Republic the delegation of VSMU consisting of the Vice-rector of International Affairs and Work with Foreign Citizens M.M. Savchuk and the Head of the Department of International Affairs O.V. Matyushchenko visited this country from 6 to 13 of August 2018.

During this trip many official meetings were held with the political and religious elite of Lebanon, our delegation was honored to acquaint opponents with the possibilities and conditions for training of foreign citizens in VSMU, as well as to answer all their questions of interest.
