Student study days... What are they like? Eventful and productive! Students of the Stomatological Faculty comprehend science on the basis of Vitebsk State Medical University: they master dental instruments, study Black's Classification of Carious Lesions, conduct professional hygienic cleaning of the oral cavity, make presentations, analyze clinical cases.
On September 11, 2025, students and staff of VSMU, led by Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Dmitry Kuzhel, participated in the premiere screening of the film "Our Symbols," dedicated to the Day of National Unity (featuring the films "State Flag of the Republic of Belarus" and "State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus").
The screening for students and staff of VSMU was organized by the Department for Ideological and Educational Work with the support of the university's trade union committees.
On September 25, 2025, as part of the celebration of World Pharmacist Day, a group of fifth-year pharmacy students from VSMU, guided by the Dean’s Deputy Elena Serak, visited the Vitebsk State Enterprise "Pharmacia."
The visit included a seminar-review tour where the students were warmly welcomed by the enterprise’s General Director, Ekaterina Borisyevich. Ekaterina Stanislavovna reminded the attendees of the vital role pharmacists play in achieving effective pharmacotherapy results and improving patients' quality of life. She emphasized that pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals and are highly trusted by the population.
On December 4-9, 2023, the Open Cup of Belarus in boxing among men and women was held in Minsk. Gleb Ivanov, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine at VSMU, took third place in the weight category up to 92 kg at these competitions. The athlete trains under the guidance of Master of Sports of the USSR Leonid Bolshakov - the head of the Department of Physical Culture at VSMU. On March 11-12, 2026, the VSMU large sports hall became a hub of activity for badminton enthusiasts. Competitions were held there as part of the dormitory spartakiad among institutions of secondary specialized and higher education in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk.
On April 2, 2026, a joint curatorial hour dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia was held at the Pediatrics Faculty of VSMU.
This year marks a significant milestone — the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on the Formation of the Community of Belarus and Russia. This document laid a strong foundation for the continued development of union-building and integration processes between the two fraternal nations.
On September 17, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, met with young specialists and interns from the Brest region working in healthcare institutions and the "Brest Pharmacy" system.
A significant part of the meeting took place on that day – National Unity Day – at the Brest Fortress, a symbol of heroism and unity of spirit.

On June 26, 2026, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University hosted a solemn Council meeting dedicated to the 84th graduation of doctors from the General Medicine Faculty.
This year, 404 graduates received university diplomas, including 20 subordinates of obstetricians and gynecologists, 54 subordinates of anesthesiologists and intensive care physicians, 70 subordinates of surgeons, 30 subordinates of internists, 230 subordinates of general medical practice.
