VSMU students took part in an active rehabilitation camp for people with spinal cord injuries

Socialization of people with spinal cord injuries became the key topic of the active rehabilitation camp organized by the Public Assasiation “Republican Association of Wheelchair Users”. The event was held from July 11 to 24, 2025 in Minsk at the Specialized Educational and Rehabilitation Center of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian prosthetic and orthopedic recovery center”.

Volunteer support for the camp participants was provided by students of VSMU Faculty of Medicine: Zhukov Grigory, Simonets Elizaveta, Kulakov Nikita and Alekseev Alexander.

VSMU students took part in the summer scientific and educational school "Clinical Arrhythmology"

Anna Antonysheva and Valeria Ryzhenkova, the 5th-year students of the Medical Faculty of VSMU, took part in the summer scientific and educational school "Clinical Arrhythmology", which was held from June 16 to 20, 2025, in Grodno. It was attended by the students of medical universities not only in the Republic of Belarus, but also in the Russian Federation.

VSMU students took part in the youth outreach project "Pashtouka.BEL"

Meetings between the students and the administration of VSMU in an informal setting in the format of tea drinking have already become a tradition. On the first school day of the second semester, in dormitory No. 5, a meeting was held between the children and the vice-rector for educational work, Natalya Boltrushevich, as well as the secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Natalya Gaponko, and the chief specialist of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Milana Alekseeva. The main topic of the meeting was the participation of student youth in the preparation and holding of a single voting day at the university. Students took an active part in the youth awareness-raising project “Pashtouka.BEL”, and were also able to communicate with each other, ask questions to the vice-rector for educational work, share their impressions after the holidays, and talk about plans for the new semester

VSMU team - participant of the Republican Olympiad on Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine ‘Operation “Rescue”: Multidisciplinary Challenge’

The First Republican Olympiad with international participation in anaesthesiology, resuscitation and emergency medicine ‘Operation “Rescue”: multidisciplinary challenge’ was held in Minsk from April 21 to 22, 2025.

More than 30 teams competed in the distance stage, only the strongest ones - 6 Belarusian teams and 4 teams from Russia - reached the finals.

Among the finalist teams was the team ‘Adrenalin’ of Vitebsk State Medical University.

VSMU team - silver medalist of mini-football competitions

April, 8-10, 2025, competitions in mini-football among women's teams in the programme of spartakiade of HEE of Vitebsk were held.

According to the results of the competitions the team of VSMU took the 2nd place.

VSMU team is the winner of the interuniversity bowling tournament

On March 20, 2024, an interuniversity bowling tournament “Roads of Victory” was held among the student youth in the city of Vitebsk dedicated to the Year of Quality. The organizers of the tournament were the city organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of the "VSU named after. P.M. Masherov."

The VSMU team competed with teams from VSAVM, VSTU, VSU named after. P.M. Masherov and took first place with the access to the city stage of the bowling tournament “Roads of Victory”.
