Training in Israel within the MASHAV program

The Israeli Embassy in Belarus invites representatives of the Ministry of Health to receive training under the "International Master of Public Health" program, which will be organized from October 2018 to September 2019 as part of the MASHAV program.

Applicants have to fill in the registration form by reference https://grs.ekmd.huji.ac.il before March 29, 2018, and also to inform the Israeli Embassy.

Training seminar for students of VSMU

On May 2, 2025, a training seminar for the students of VSMU and the doctors of Vitebsk Regional Clinical Center for Children was held.

Galina Konstantinovna Barkun Galina Konstantinovna, the Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics № 2 with a course of FAT and PR of VSMU, gave a lecture “Primary pulmonary hypertension in newborns”, and also presented a clinical case analysis with discussion of the tactics of management and therapy of this condition in an infant who was under the treatment in one of the CDH of our region.

Training Through Volunteering

Training through volunteeringFor four years already, students of VSMU take part in the Forums of active rehabilitation conducted by the Republican Association of Wheelchair Users (RAIK). Students work as medical assistants, as well as participate in RAIK activities off forums.

This year, for the first time, an internship for the best RAIK assistants was organized by the leading Swedish specialist for spinal cord injuries Katarzyna Trok. Three students of VSMU were lucky to get into the first group of assistants for learning: Svetlana Nadzhafova (6th year, Medical Faculty), Kristina Volodko (4th year, Pharmaceutical Faculty) and Sergei Gorbylev (3rd year, Medical Faculty).

Two-Day Cycling Tour of VSMU Staff Dedicated to the Day of National Unity

On September 19, VSMU staff embarked on a two-day cycling tour along the route Vitebsk – TOK “Losvido” – Vitebsk, dedicated to the Day of National Unity.

This cycling tour is being held for the fifth time with the aim of fostering civic and patriotic education, promoting and developing physical culture, sports, and tourism as one of the most accessible and popular forms of active recreation and a healthy lifestyle.

Unified Information Day at VSMU

On July 17, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University is holding a Unified Information Day on the topic “Sovereign Belarus: from restoring the national economy to innovative projects of the future”. Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits met with first-year students and volunteers and discussed the key stages of our country's development in an open dialogue format.

Unified Information Day Dedicated to the Day of National Unity

At Vitebsk State Medical University, on September 18, 2025, thematic events dedicated to the youngest national holiday – the Day of National Unity – were held as part of the Unified Information Day.

The event, organized for university students, took place in Dormitory No. 3. In her opening remarks, First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova emphasized the enduring value of national unity as a fundamental foundation of the stability and sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus. She noted that it is precisely social cohesion that ensures the successful development of the state and the prosperity of its citizens.
