On December 16, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation, titled "Military Medicine: History and Modernity," dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining.

The Vitebsk State Medical University team secured a convincing victory at the XIII International Olympiad on Normal Anatomy in Minsk. The strongest medical students competed for the championship among 13 teams.

On December 18–19, 2025, an important political event will take place in our country, defining the strategy for the further development of our state for the next five years.

The key will be the address of the President of our country, Alexander Lukashenko, to the Belarusian people and Parliament, as well as the approval of the program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026–2030.

After the opening ceremony and plenary session, work commenced in various sections.

As part of ongoing engagement with young people, on December 15, VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov met with members of the university team representing VSMU at the VIII International Student Surgery Olympiad.
