Another significant event took place in the life of Vitebsk State Medical University students on September 3 and is sure to remain part of the university’s student history. Following extensive renovations, a new multifunctional space opened its doors in Dormitory No. 2.

September 3, 2026, marked an important date for the Department of General Dentistry at VSMU. On this day, a new chapter in the training of dental professionals began with the opening of a modern training room equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

On September 2, 2026, first-year students of Vitebsk State Medical University, together with Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Dmitry Kuzhel and Deputy Deans of the faculties, took part in the educational project “Not by Chance Meetings”. The guest of the meeting was Igor Vasilyevich Karpenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus.

On September 1, Vitebsk Concert Hall hosted a ceremonial event organized by Vitebsk State Medical University to mark Knowledge Day. The celebration, dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year, brought together distinguished guests, university leadership, teaching staff and those for whom this day marked the starting point of a great future – first-year students.

Dear students and staff of the University!

Please accept my most sincere congratulations on Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year! This day is especially important for each of us. For students, it opens up new horizons; for teachers, it provides an opportunity to once again share their accumulated knowledge and experience.

I would like to address the first-year students separately. You have successfully passed your entrance examinations and made a conscious choice in favour of medicine. From now on, you are full-fledged members of our large academic family. Here, at VSMU, you will gain not only knowledge, but also reliable mentors and friends for life.
