As part of his working trip, University Rector Alexey Chukanov visited the branch of the Department of VSMU on the basis of the Healthcare Establishment Mogilev Hospital No. 1.

The work on opening new branches of departments in Mogilev has already proved to be highly effective and is evaluated by specialist doctors as an extremely effective tool for improving professional competencies.

In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the delegation of VSMU headed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov took part in a career guidance meeting with graduate students of medical colleges in Mogilev and Orsha.

The event was organized as part of a systematic effort to provide professional guidance to young people in order to inform them about the possibility of university admission, including through targeted training.

As part of the Red Cross Month, VSMU students took part in a free blood donation campaign. More than 20 future doctors have shown an example of caring. For many, this is the first step in the donor movement, and some are taking part for more than the first time.

Students of the General Medicine, Stomatological and Pediatrics faculties not only set an example of humanity and responsibility, but also contributed to saving lives. Each donor has become a part of a large humanitarian mission that strengthens trust and mutual assistance in society.

On May 27, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a large-scale information and educational event organized with the participation of the university administration and representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty, for whom the issues of legal literacy and legal stay in the Republic of Belarus are of particular importance, took an active part in it.

On May 26, 2026, the University cycling championship among employees was held at the VSMU stadium. The competition program included the following technical elements: "snake", "figure eight", "swing", "gate", "stakes", cargo transfer, "corridor".

The event was organized by the sports club, the Department of Physical Education and the trade union committee of VSMU employees.
