On May 4, 2026, the XI Regional patriotic action "Breakthrough of Victory" took place in Ushachsky district, which was attended by a delegation of VSMU staff and students led by university Rector Alexei Chukanov.

As part of the international cheerleading tournament and festival "Children and Youth Week", the Cheerleading Cup among institutions of higher education of the Republic of Belarus was held at the Minsk Sports Palace.

An intense struggle unfolded for the right to climb the podium, in which 12 of the strongest university teams of the country took part. The team of our university "Ho.La", the bronze medalist of last year's championship, met in the most difficult confrontation with the teams of BSMU and BSPU — and won!

On April 29, 2026, the opening ceremony of two updated plaques of Honor took place on Victory Square – the city and the Vitebsk region, each of which contains 20 winners of the competition based on the results of work in 2025.

Alexey Geroyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, presented the Certificate of Inclusion on the Vitebsk City Honor Board to Alexey Chukanov, Rector of the All-Russian State Medical University.

The evening of April 29 flashed with a million lights — the stage of the Vitebsk Concert Hall turned into a center of attraction for beauty, grace and talent. The dazzling show "Miss VSMU–2026" thundered like a holiday that cannot be forgotten!

The show was designed in the majestic style of Olympus: as if the muses and goddesses themselves had descended from heaven to give the hall the magic of perfection. Ten shining stars, ten unique destinies and an ocean of inspiration — all this merged in one breath of the competition. Each participant became the embodiment of an ancient goddess: one captivated with the wisdom of Athena, the other with the grace of Aphrodite, the third with the courage of Artemis.
