On the eve of Father's Day, celebrated on October 21, 2023, the mass cultural events committee of the trade union students’ committee of Vitebsk State Medical University organized the event “Let's congratulate dad together!”

On the first floor of the laboratory and theoretical building of Vitebsk State Medical University everyone could write a letter for their dad, attaching a postcard with good wishes and declarations of love. All letters will be sent on the same day to different parts of our native Belarus.

On September 8, 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed online between Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University and the State Educational Institution "Gymnasium of Svetlogorsk."

The document was signed by VSMU Rector Alexey Chukhanov and the Director of the Gymnasium, Elena Mishchenko.

On February 5, 2024, the faculty of pre-university preparation of VSMU conducted a career guidance excursion for the students of Vitebsk State Industrial and Technological College to the anatomical museum of VSMU, within the framework of which the Head of the Department of Human Anatomy Tesfaye Wolde Asfaw introduced the tourists to a collection of anatomical specimens and the basics of the structure of the human body, its constituent organs and systems.

On September 30, 2025, the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course at VSMU organized a career guidance meeting for students of the Vitebsk State Medical College named after Academician I.P. Antonov. During the event, Elena Gusakova, Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course, presented the results of the 2025 admission campaign and explained the admission requirements for VSMU based on secondary specialized education in the field of "Healthcare," including admissions on the basis of targeted training.

On September 1, VSMU hosted a ceremonial lineup and a flag-raising ceremony of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus, dedicated to Knowledge Day.

Students, staff, and the university administration gathered in the VSMU square. The honorary guest of the event was Olga Ivanova, Chairperson of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies.

The university’s rector, Alexey Chukanov, addressed the attendees. In his speech, Alexey Nikolaevich reminded everyone that a five-year quality initiative has been proclaimed in our country, which requires especially diligent attitude both towards acquiring knowledge and towards one’s work. Since the theme of the celebration was declared to be the preservation of historical heritage, the rector noted: "I am pleased to state that our university is a pioneer in many areas of scientific research focused on developing new medicines, new treatment and diagnostic methods. The connection between generations is exactly what allows us to proudly bear the title of student and teacher of VSMU."
