On January 5, 2026, VSMU students participating in the projects "Family and Spiritual and Moral Traditions of Belarus" and "Restoration of Churches in Vitebsk Region" held a charity event to clear snow from the territory and decorate the Holy Protection Cathedral in Vitebsk for Christmas. Representatives of the NGO "BRSM" of VSMU, the trade union of students and staff of VSMU, volunteers, as well as students living in university dormitories, also took part in the event.

On January 5, 2026, a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Commission was held under the chairmanship of VSMU Rector Alexei Chukanov. The main topic of the meeting was issues related to ensuring transparency during the examination session.

During the event, emphasis was placed on the strict adherence to anti-corruption legislation by all university faculty and staff, including when working with foreign citizens.

On December 30, 2025, representatives of VSMU participated in the final New Year's Eve live broadcast of the project "Your Choice" on Radio Vitebsk.

Elena Gusakova, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course at VSMU; Evgeny Shabunin, Deputy Dean of the Pharmaceutical Faculty of Ideological and Educational Work; and Maria Gorbunova, a second-year student at the Pharmaceutical Faculty, discussed issues related to admission and training in pharmacy, as well as congratulated all Radio Vitebsk listeners on the upcoming New Year.

On December 29, 2025, the grand closing ceremony of the Republican cultural and educational campaign "Facets of Creativity" took place at VSMU. The purpose of the campaign was to create conditions for the creative realization of students, develop and support student youth initiatives, foster an objective attitude of youth toward the historical past, and preserve and strengthen the unity of the Belarusian people.
