The premiere of the film about state symbols “Cultural Code” took place in Vitebsk

On the eve of National Unity Day, the Belarusfilm studio presented a new project – the film “Cultural Code” by Kirill Khaletsky.

A delegation from VSMU, headed by rector Alexey Chukanov, also took part in the premiere of the film, which took place on September 5 at the Cinema House. The visit to the film by VSMU employees took place thanks to the support of the administration and the primary trade union organization of the university staff.

Meetings with students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty were held at VSMU

A large number of foreign students study at VSMU. Citizens from more than 40 countries receive higher medical and pharmaceutical education at our university.

In the first days of the new academic year, first-year students among foreign citizens met with the Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work of VSMU Denis Lits, Dean of the FOST Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin and the staff of the dean's office.

Organizational meetings for first-year students were held at VSMU

In the first days of the academic year organizational meetings for first-year students are held at VSMU. Traditionally the Rector of the University, Alexey Chukanov, takes part in the meetings with students.

The meeting of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with the students of the Vitebsk region universities took place on September 2, 2024, at Vitebsk State University.

The students and staff of VSMU, headed by Rector Alexei Chukanov, also took part in this significant meeting.

The ceremonial raising of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus was held at VSMU

On September 2, 2024, the ceremonial raising of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus, dedicated to the Day of Knowledge, was held at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The ceremony was attended by the students, teachers, VSMU administration and invited guests.

The honorary right to raise the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus was granted to Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service Arseny Tsygankov, the winners of university and regional Olympiads, the first-year students of the pediatric, medical, pharmaceutical, and dental faculties: Egor Kostyukovich, Marina Rizo, Dmitry Yurevich, and Vladimir Galanov. The Deputy Head of the Main Healthcare Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Lyudmila Kovaleva, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers Vladimir Plytkevich, and the Rector of VSMU Aleksey Chukanov

At the end of the celebration the student pop song studio "Tandem" performed the composition "White Dews" for those gathered. Dear students, teachers and staff of the university, we wish you good health, happiness, peace and prosperity, success in your studies and work for the benefit of your native Belarus!
