On March 12, 2024,  within the framework of cooperation between VSMU and the Vitebsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, a meeting-dialogue between the university students and the Head of the Diaconal Center of the Vitebsk Diocese, Inna Kostyukovich, took place in dormitory No. 7. The event was organized by the student council of the hostel, teachers, and employees of the department for educational work with youth and was dedicated to Maslenitsa and Orthodox Book Day (March 14).

On March 13, 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Nazarkuly Shakuliyev, visited VSMU.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nazarkuly Shakuliyev and the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-rector for international relations and organizational and legal work Denis Lits, the Head of the department of international and interregional relations Elena Sharykhina, the VSMU Dean of the Overseas Student’s Training Faculty Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin.

On March 12, 2024, at VSMU, a meeting was held between the Rector of the University, Alexey Chukanov, and the workforce on the organization of ideological and educational work. As part of the event, the main directions of the educational process at the university were outlined, voiced by the Head of State during a meeting with members of the Republican Council of Rectors of the Higher Educational Establishments.

On March 10, 2024, VSMU hosted a mini-football competition among men's teams from the Egyptian community. The Sri Lanka team also took part in the sporting event. In a bitter struggle, the "Ahmose" team won, the "Anubis" team took second place, and the "Mexico" team took third place.

Such sporting events help unite the multinational team of VSMU students and allow them to spend time in an interesting and healthy way.
