Ultrasound diagnostics is one of the widespread research methods in various fields of medicine. In September 2021, VSMU purchased modern high-class ultrasound devices to carry out educational and research work at a new technological level.
On September 17, 2025, a deeply symbolic meeting was held at the Vitebsk State Medical University – a dialogue platform with Gleb Lapitsky, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and General Director of the Vitebsk Cultural Center.
This day, filled with special meaning, set the tone for a sincere and meaningful conversation about what matters most: the connection between eras, the continuity of generations, and the unshakable values that unite the Belarusian people.
On June 25, 2025, the final certification in the specialty “General Medicine” has been completed at VSMU. Future doctors passed 4 state exams in the disciplines “Obstetrics and Gynecology”, “Internal Medicine”, “Surgical Diseases”, “Public Health and Healthcare”. The final certification also included an objective structured clinical exam at the simulation and certification center of VSMU.
On June 25, 2025, the final certification of students at Stomatological Faculty has been completed.
State examinations were held in three disciplines: “Therapeutic Dentistry”, “Orthopedic Dentistry”, “Maxillofacial Surgery and Surgical Dentistry”.
On July 25, 2025, the final practice in the reserve officer training program was completed at VSMU. The students successfully passed the exam on special military training, demonstrating deep knowledge and excellent preparation.
As part of the implementation of the academic exchange program between Samara State Medical University and VSMU, the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy completed educational pharmacognostic practice on the basis of the Russian partner university.

The meeting of exemplary students "Student Olympus - 2016" took place on the first day of the festival. The most diligent, inquisitive and industrious students of VSMU have gathered in the assembly hall of the main building. Perhaps at that time this place collected the highest density of intellect in our city. During the opening ceremony, the Rector of the university emphasized that the intellectual student elite of our university, our pride and hope had gathered in this hall. Of course, these words inspired the audience a lot.
