Patriotic evening ‘Everyone wrote the history of Victory’

On April 22, 2025, in VSMU there was held an event ‘Everyone wrote the history of Victory’ dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, organised by the Department of Pathological Physiology and Military Department with the participation of military-patriotic club and 103rd separate Guards Airborne Brigade.

The Students and staff of the department told about the participation of their relatives in the approaching Victory, recited poems and sang songs of the war years.

Peoples' friendship and strength – our cherished and sunshiny pathway

On 14 November 2018, a festive atmosphere prevailed in the hall on the ground floor in front of 3 and 4 lecture halls of the medical-theoretical building of Vitebsk State Medical University. Here an unusual journey into the world of multiple cultures began.

Students in national costumes, sounds of ethnic musical instruments, unique objects, the smell of fragrance, laughter and countless selfies in exotic jewelry - all this filled the festival with special charm. It seemed that you could travel around the world within the same floor of your native university.

Pharmacist's Day at VSMU

On September 25, on World Pharmacist Day, the Faculty of Pharmacy at VSMU hosted a themed interactive event for students and university staff. The Rector of VSMU, Alexei Chukanov, also took part in the event, joining in solving pharmaceutical puzzles.

Postgraduate education in Poland

The Medical University of Bialystok (Poland) offers to participate in receiving scholarship in the project entitled "International Interdisciplinary PhD studies in Biomedical Research and Biostatistics.” The grant is awarded under Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action COFUND.

Postgraduate students of Vitebsk State Medical University are holders of Scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus

Practice of medical and pharmaceutical students in Poznan university of medical science

In September 3-15, 2018 within the program of academic mobility there was a trip VSMU student’s group to the Poznan University of Medical Sciences named after Karol Marcinkowski .This group included 10 students of medical and pharmaceutical faculties. The head of the Department of International Affairs, associate professor of Pediatrics chair Olga Victorovna Matyushchenko headed this delegation.

It is necessary to note the thought-out organization of our stay in Poznan from the Polish side: we were hospitably met and put to the hostel «Esculap» which situated in the heart of the university campus. Food, tickets and maps of the city were provided for us.
